The naming committee for Loudoun County's latest high school -- set to open in Leesburg in fall 2009 - has come up with three suggestions for names.

It?s not uncommon for Culpeper County Public School parents to pay for various school-related fees for programs and/or supplies so that their children can participate in an assortment of activities and/or outings.

Stevens Creates Scholarship For School Employees (Leesburg Today)

Loudoun County School Board Vice Chairman John Stevens (Potomac) along with the Loudoun Education Foundation and the Northern Virginia Community Foundation, announced this week the creation the Elaine Avington Griffin Unsung Educators Scholarship, a $5,000 scholarship endowment for the children of Loudoun County Public School support personnel.

Fairfax educator to lead Clarke high school (Winchester Star)

Berryville ? A new principal has been named at Clarke County High School. John W. Werner, 40, a former assistant principal in Fairfax County, said he is excited about the opportunity to serve as the leader of a community-based school.
