Metompkin school observes Sept. 11 anniversary with poignant ceremony (Eastern Shore News)

PARKSLEY -- Many of the children attending Metompkin Elementary School today were not born yet the day the world changed forever for Americans -- Sept. 11, 2001, when on a clear autumn morning four planes hijacked by terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D. C. and a field in Pennsylvania.

County could save $360K with in-house reassessment (Eastern Shore News)

PARKSLEY -- Accomack County could save at least $360,000 by using the county assessor to conduct annual assessments instead of an outside firm, a new proposal concludes.
